When the board was considering the new admin arrangements, we soon realised that with the growth of the club we were asking a lot for one person to do all of the race entries and membership administration. Simon has always kindly arranged holidays to fit round our races, but that isn't really fair. So we were pleased when we got a proposal from the Midland Automobile Club. Several Monoposto members (including the writer) are ex-hillclimbers, and the MAC has an excellent reputation for friendly effiicency, so we're confident that they will do the job well. We've visted their offices at Shelsley Walsh hillclimb. They have 4 permanent staff, one of whom will be the princple entry contact, so there is a good professional grounding and good backup. We look forward to working with them, and we know that they are keen for it to be a long term relationship.

We will soon be announcing the new Sporting Services Manager, who will be responsible for all other areas.

For information, here's the press release jointly issued by MRC and MAC

The Midland Automobile Club (MAC) has been appointed to supply Administration and Support Services to the Monoposto Racing Club (MRC) for the forthcoming 2015 season.
The MAC who are based at the famous Shelsley Walsh Hill Climb near Worcester are very experienced in this area. Founded in 1901, the club manages its own extensive membership and competitor entries to the 6 speed hill climb weekends at the Shelsley Walsh Hill Climb including two rounds of the Avon Tyres/TTC Group MSA British Hill Climb Championship.

The MAC will be managing the MRC membership, registering competitors and sending out communications alongside the receiving and managing of entries for all of the Monoposto Racing Club’s championships.

“This is a wonderful opportunity for the MAC” said Mark Constanduros, MAC Commercial Manager. “Between the MAC and the Monoposto Racing Club, we have a lot of history in motorsport and this is a great chance to work together and for the MAC to help Monoposto to work more cost effectively over the forthcoming season and beyond. We are very much looking forward to getting back into circuit racing having first worked with Monoposto back in 1989 and to use our extensive administration knowledge and skills to work with their Championships and Sporting Services Manager.”

Nick Harrison (Chairman of the Monoposto Racing Club) said “We are delighted to appoint the MAC as administration provider, they have a long history in this area of the motorsport business and look forward to working with them, and developing new motorsport opportunities that will benefit both organisations.”

The Monoposto Racing Club has grown to become the largest single seater club in the UK regularly filling two grids with 60 + cars across the best circuits the UK has to offer."

This was summarised as follows by Autosport:

"MAC to run Monoposto The Midland Automobile Club will add the Monoposto Racing Club to its portfolio next year. The Shelsley Walsh-based organisation already administers two rounds of the British Hillclimb Championship, and will now manage the 60-plus regular entries that the MRC can boast."
