Welcome to Steven Connor, Sporting Services Manager

Snetterton was the first event at which our new Sporting Services Manager, Steven Connor, officiated. Although there were only 17 cars entered, 2 races and a practice in one day meant there was something going on most of the time. The non-arrival of some trophies and a worry as to whether timekeepers would arrive meant a few worries, but all went well and Steven was able to use his recently acquired electrically assisted bike to round us up and head us in the right direction. He told Startline "The Clerk of the Course invited me into race control. It was fascinating seeing all the screens - there is so much information available. It was an enjoyable experience meeting Monoposto drivers and their teams that I haven't previously spoken to, and I look forward to seeing more at the MSVR Brands meeting on 22/23 November."

(Entry forms here to be sent to )

Steven will be doing the race day paddock liaison, member recruitment, arrangement of functions (the AGM and Dinner Dance being the first) and working with the race committee on technical and sporting regs. And of course, a major role is the essential one of picking up the phone, or opening an email, and answering those varied and difficult questions which all of us have. He has set up a club Facebook presence at

Steven's email is and phone is 07956591513.

Welcome to Rachel Lovett - Membership and Race Entry Administration

Rachel Lovett is the member of the Midland Automobile Club team who is mainly responsible for dealing with Monoposto membership renewal, sending out membership cards and MSVR passes, and the major task of accepting and managing entries, processing payments, and providng the entry details to race organisers. Members will speak to Rachel when wanting to know whether their entry has been received, giving payment details not on the entry form, or she may call you if you haven't completed the entry form properly.

Rachel comes from a motor sport family and holds a competition licence, having entered her local hillclimb (the one through her office window....)in a highly unlikely competition vehicle.
