Planning a visit to Race Retro? 20-22 February 2015

Save money by planning ahead

Race Retro is the leading Historic (for which read "Club."...) Motorsport exhibition. Details are here, and they have featured marques and personailties. In their own words:

" The 2015 Featured Marques are:

Racing
A celebration of the 50th anniversary of Chevron Racing. Designer Derek Bennett’s creations covered virtually all categories of national and international racing during the late ’60s and the ’70s, and won in Formula 3, Formula Atlantic, Formula 5000 and Formula 2 as well as sportscar racing. No fewer than six future Formula 1 World Champions were among those who raced Chevrons at important stages in their careers.

Rallying
A tribute to the late Richard Burns, with a display of the iconic cars he drove throughout his career, to mark ten years since his death. As England’s one and only World Rally Champion, Richard drove the Talbot Sunbeam and the Chevy Camaro, as well as various Subarus and Peugeots – all of which are hoped to be at Race Retro.

Motorcycling
Its 50 years since Mike Hailwood won the 1965 500cc World Motorcycle Championship on an MV Agusta. Mike’s son David will be bringing a collection of bikes and memorabilia and answering questions on the interview stage."

But irrespective of the cars, it's a show worth visiting to see old friends. We'll be there and if you want to save £5 on the normal entry price of £20, drop an email to Jonathan Baggott who is masterminding our presence, and he'll arrange for a ticket. You need to get the request in within the next couple of weeks to allow for payment and postage.
